Furniture New York in the News:
Aswoon appeared in the Chicago Tribune Magazine's special issue on Home Design in March 2007, and was profiled in a special feature on Brooklyn designers in American Express Publishing's 360 Magazine. Aswoon also had pieces featured in Interior Design's Fall 2006 Market Tabloid issue.
Laurie Beckerman Design was in Interior Design’s Fall 2006 Market Tabloid and in the Fall 2006 At Home magazine, Fairfield County, CT.
Scott Braun will have a show at the Benton/Nyce Gallery in Greenport, NY, through July 2007. Scott has been named to the Board of Trustees for the international organization, The Furniture Society. His work was featured in the Sept. 2006 issue of ForbesLife, and the Nov. 2006 issue of Interior Design.
Domino named the Classic Rug Collection, Inc. one of the top 125 eco-sensitive companies in the US on their Green List. Classic Rug’s Barbara Barran was the "How Cool Is She?" person for May 2007 in "Every Day with Rachael Ray." Her “Ribbon” rug was featured in the Feb. 2007 Child magazine, the March 2007 Connecticut Cottages & Gardens and the March 2007 Palm Beach Cottages & Gardens.
David Bergman of Fire & Water was on Asa Aaron's "50 Ways to Go Green," shown in New York on WNBC news and nationally as an NBC network special on Earth Day.
jGoodDesign appeared in House and Garden, Oct. 06; Interior Design’s Fall 2006 Market Tabloid; New York Spaces, Aug. 06 and Jan. 07; Domino, March 07; and the Ultimate NY Design Book, published Dec. 06.

Deborah Mills exhibited sculptures and relief carvings in the fourth annual "About New York" exhibit at Mercy College, Nov. – Dec. 2006. She was a featured artist on the Urban Seashell blog in April 2007.
In 2006, Michael Puryear was invited to contribute work to Inspired By China: Contemporary Furnituremakers Explore Chinese Traditions at the Peabody Essex Museum, Salem MA; and to Home Is Where The Art Is at the Neuberger Museum, Purchase, NY. His work appeared in the Boston Globe, the Penland Book of Woodworking, and was profiled in “Into the Wood: The Extraordinary Craftsmanship of Michael Puryear” in Homes of Color, June 2006. “Inspired by China,” an interview with Michael Puryear, appeared in Woodwork, April, 2007.
FNY received extensive coverage during the Architectural Digest show. NBC's Today show conducted interviews with Scott Braun,
Paul Priven, and Marcia Zia; and showed work by BDDW, Scott Braun, City Joinery, Desiron,
Loomful of Hues, Deborah Mills Woodworking, Niche Modern,
Tucker Robbins, and Zia-Priven. ABC's Lauren Glassberg interviewed Scott Braun and showed his work,
as well as Lorna Lee John Muller Designs,
Tucker Robbins, Sublime, Zia-Priven, and the FNY group booth, featuring Gammafive Studios.
CBS showed work from Scott Braun, Lost City Arts,
Tucker Robbins, and Zia-Priven. MSNBC featured Scott Braun, BDDW, Tucker Robbins, and Zia-Priven,
with individual pages and discussion boards for each company.
The Brooklyn Style issue of New York Magazine featured work by BDDW, Scott Braun,
City Joinery, DYAD, Amy Helfand, Eric Manigian and Robert Martin.
Brother's Shadow, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, features work by Scott Braun (the movie's furniture consultant),
Cambium Studios, City Joinery, SMC Furnishings, Tucker Robbins, and Susan Woods/Aswoon.
Scott Braun has been named to the advisory board of the Furniture Society, and will be giving a lecture/slide presentation at their June conference.
The Green Guide, a web and print magazine dedicated to environmentally sound living,
(www.thegreenguide.com) selected Cambium Studio's Heart Pine Spring Chair as part of their 100 Best Eco-Friendly Products of the Year.
DYAD's lighting collection was singled out in the New York Times coverage of BKLYN Designs 2006.
Farrago Design's Sand Collection was featured in Florida Inside Out's Feb. 2006 issue.
Fire & Water won two Honorable Mentions in the

and was one of The Green Guide's Top Product Picks for 2005.

The Brooklyn Eagle ran a profile of Jeanne Heifetz January 29, 2004.ÊOne of her Albers series rugs appeared in BKLYN Magazine's winter 2004 issue,
